Just me and the silent night

At this moment in time I feel peaceful. 'Cause it has been a good night to sit down and do some reading for tomorrow's lab. MSN is acting all strange. Or maybe it's just me.

I think I am too slack. 'Cause I almost missed class yesterday because I was watching some stand up comedy at the PC Cluster. Damn..

Anyway, I was just wondering, I will only pass this way once. And so, I am determined to make the people who crossed my path happy, and treat everybody as equals, friends or foe, because I will only pass this way once. And I could not pass this way again, any time in the future.

Wishful thinking? I am a better man, that I am sure. Not necessarily the best, but good enough.

When you know it's time

Been thinking.

OK, so I think alot, but it's alright to do that, isn't it? Anyway, I have been thinking alot about things which in the past will never even crossed my mind, 'cause I couldn't care less.

I have been thinking about my friends whom I have not seen in ages. One just came and visit me 2 days ago. I thought to myself, maybe I should make more time for these friends. 'Cause I have been through many things with them, and it seems like I have not talked for the longest time. Maybe I should.

I have been thinking about studies. Like I need to hit the books real soon. 'Cause I have misterms looming, and I have been lagging in class. I should just forget about anything else and start studying for real, instead of just flipping through my notes. Maybe I should.

I have been thinking about Buaya Week. I told myself that this is gonna be my last time playing this game, and that I should give my best. But somehow, felt like playing this year was a mistake. 'Cause I felt like just not doing anything. And anything that I did so far was less than satisfying and fulfilling, at least on my side. Anyway, this is stupid, to think of this now.

I have been thinking about Rag. I met a friend yesterday, who told me certain things which sounded so true. No, I am not gonna tell what she said, 'cause it's a private conversation. I told her things about my Rag, and she told me hers. We exchanged notes and stuffs. The winning formula, she asked, and I said, all the bull about passion, and strong bonds and strong team, the winning formula is simply a group of people who shares the same values. I believe, and this is true, that a group of people who shares the same values can do anything together. Bonds, and passion and dedication will naturally follow.

I think, and this is not some wishful thinking, that the only reason we lost, is that we didn't believe enough. OK, and also the fact that we are not rich enough.

To a certain somebody, who will obviously read this: Miss you lots.

It's been a while

Let's take one thing at a time. And probably think a little more than just a simple thought. The fact that semester has started. And that things are now in full swing. For those who need to know, this is my third year. And, really, what happen to the rosy picture my seniors painted to me couple of year ago? But that's another story for another fine night.

As a chairperson, I have learnt many things which probably will serve me well in years to come. From this experience, I've gotten close to myself, learnt how to deal with myself, and most important, understood myself more in 3 months than I had in 3 years in Spore. This is probably the only time I have to gauge how far I have come, and how far I still have to go to be a better man.

What saddens me the most, is not the fact that I've lost. But the fact that the persons under me felt that it was not a worthwhile journey, with me. And what hurts most, more than anything else, is that these individuals were the people who placed their trust in me. People whom I called friends. But in the end, we drifted apart. For the simple reason, that I had failed to make the journey good for them. To these friends, I am sorry.

And to those who stood by me, in times of great distress, thank you. 'Cause for every betrayal I felt, you guys were there to make things right, to give me insights I never thought I would have, and to guide me in your silent ways.

In the end, I could have lost everything, but I found, more than anything else, friends who're worth keeping. At the final destination, I asked myself, one question I have never asked myself throughout the journey, is it worth it? I have the answer. I hope, those who were with me, know your answer too. For better or for worse, this is the finishing line.

Just a little more

There was once this guy who wanted so much to talk to this girl but, in the end never did. Kindda sad isn't it? That we fall short of our dreams just because we were to cautious. Maybe we were just waiting for something to happen. Waiting, that's the problem. For greatest things in life last but for a short fleeting moment.

But that's another story for another fine day.

You know we are always searching for something better. But perhaps what we are doing is nothing more than just being a little bit too cautious. Maybe before we launch ourselves into futile attempt to relive the moments which have passed, we just wanna be a little bit wiser to take a good look at our lives. Maybe before plunging into the icy cold waters, we just wanna be a little bit more careful in taking things for granted. As we grow older, maybe we have forgotten how to forget the worries that are weighing our minds down.

Just a little more, and I would have written something totally full of crap and babble about things so inconsistent I couldn't find something to feel for. Oh well, maybe that's where I should be heading.
